Sean White is Managing Director of North River Ventures.
With partner Francis McInerney, Sean has formed and managed a series of venture funds and incubators, raising $200 million in capital commitments from carriers, manufacturers and other players in information technology.
Prior to rejoining North River Ventures in New York in 2009, he was president of Centennial Strategic Partners VI, L.P. in Denver. He remains a member of the general partner of Centennial Ventures VII LP.
The mission at Centennial Strategic Partners was to institutionalize and accelerate the transfer of innovation from early stage start-ups to corporate investors. CSP facilitated hundreds of initiatives ranging in value from a few thousand to hundreds of millions of dollars. These deals closed at a rate of about 25%.
He is also an accomplished entrepreneur. He founded, built, and sold to McGraw-Hill Inc. one of the world’s leading information industry market research firms, New York-based Northern Business Information Inc.
Sean is co-author of three books about the relationship between innovation and wealth creation. He was educated at the universities of Toronto and Cambridge.
